Yes, you read that correctly! There is a Vegan Oktoberfest and it’s happening October 4th in Los Angeles. After experiencing the amazingness that was the LA Vegan Beer and Food Festival back in May, I’m thrilled to be joining in the festivities next month, which will feature over 24 breweries, vegan food vendors and live music.
Breweries that will be at the Vegan Oktoberfest:
Ninkasi Brewing, Einstock, The Dudes’, Lammsbrau, Sierra Nevada, Venice Duck Brewery, Four Sons Brewery, Karl Strauss, Eel River, Ace Ciders, Epic Brewing, Modern Times, Bison Organic Beer, Oskar Blues, Drake’s, Coronado Brewing, Angel City, Golden Road, Anderson Valley, Saint Archer, Bravery, Lagunitas, Hangar 24, and more…
In addition to a huge selection of beers, the Vegan Oktoberfest will offer traditional food such as sausages, pretzels, potato pancakes, chicken, sauerkraut, ice cream (all vegan, of course!). And if that wasn’t enough, there will also be live Oompah bands, Bavarian maidens and a view of the Pacific Ocean.
Anyone who is looking to make the world a better place for animals can feel great about purchasing a ticket to this event! A portion of the proceeds from Vegan Oktoberfest will benefit Expand Animal Rights Now, an organization dedicated to using the legal system to help animals.
And don’t forget to be safe – plan to have a designated driver or use a service like Uber or Lyft – both services offer your first ride free!
Beach Park 1 is located at 2600 Barnard Way at Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica. Vegan Oktoberfest runs from 1:00-6:00 PM. General Admission Tickets is $45.00 and include admission plus one beer stein and unlimited beer. For more information and to purchase tickets online please visit http://veganoktoberfest.com.
